Heart Full of Thanks

Happy February!
January flew by so fast! I think that means that all is well, right? I had my formal observation at school, and I am ready to relax and do my thing! The rest of the year should fly by now! I love my new school and all the great co-teachers! I am very happy!
On to my card. I love hearts, but I rarely send "I love you" cards. So I am finding new ways to use LOVE and HEARTS to create warm cards!
Take a look:

I have been using so much distress ink, and colorful backgrounds, I wanted to incorporate some of my patterned paper into the card. I am not sure I like it. I can see why some crafters struggle with it.

I applied for a DT position, unfortunately, I did not get it. But I read an article talking about how some DT applicants are excellent crafters, but they do not photograph their cards well, and ultimately are pasted by. I bet that is me! I need to work on better staging and new photographing techniques. I cannot afford a high-tech camera. The best quality camera I own is on my phone. I wonder how many other card-making bloggers are the same way? Interesting thought...

I entered the second card into a few challenges:
