Me and my MISTI...

Hello again!
I finally got some time to get creating with my MISTI. Man, I love the security that I won't mess up, when I use my MISTI. I am using stamps I could never use before (because I would have to stamp multiple times to get a clear image) with it. Take a look:

These dragonflies are gorgeous! Such detail. I stamped each of them twice to make them nice and dark. Even the sentiment came out well! I think this is one of my most favorite cards of all time.  :)

I totally forgot about this cute little butterfly. I actually did something I have NEVER done before. I UNMOUNTED a stamp. I pulled this stamp off its wood and used it with my MISTI. Now I am not sure how to store this newly unmounted stamp. It is still sticky from the glue. I guess I'll need to do some cyber research and see how others store theirs. I love rediscovering old stamps. Any suggestions?

Thanks for stopping by!

First MISTI Creation!

Good Morning!
I have a few minutes this morning to post my VERY FIRST MISTI creation!
I love my MISTI. I am going to play with all my stamps over again and rediscover all the cool things I can do now that everything can be straight, and restamped!

Take a look:

This was so easy with my Misti! I actually avoid circles in my designing. (I'm working on that) The purple hearts are filled in with glitter, so the card is very pretty.

Enjoy your Sunday!

HAPPY EASTER!

Happy Easter Everyone!

My husband and I are going to Sarasota to have Easter brunch with my Sister and her husband. I was itching to make something to give them as gifts when we arrive. I found these Easter basket buddies, and had to make them. Take a look:

How sweet are they? I had forgotten how much fun paper piecing can be. I even used my swatch book to help me choose the right colors of ink to shade all the pieces. That came in handy.  :)

I bought these at Treasure Box Designs. The bunny is one of a set of  8 designs to make. They can be tweeked for Valentine's Day as well. Unfortunately, they came with no directions and no eyes. I tried to make my own, but I think next time I will print out pre-made ones. My eyes look kinda sad-ish. I looked for an e-mail address to write the company about the eyes, but to no avail. I know my sister and Ross will love these!

Enjoy your holiday! Please leave a comment, it would make my day!

Creative Card Makin' Chicks GROUP Challenge!

Hello and good morning!
As many of you know, Splitcoast stampers is a WONDERFUL resource stuffed full of hundreds of creative people who enjoy paper crafting. There are days where I just enter the site and roam around looking at everything.

One area of the site has blogging groups. Our blogging group (Creative Card Makin' Chicks - CCMC) has a HAPPY BIRTHDAY challenge this month.

I just love playing with my distress inks and making bold colorful backgrounds on watercolor paper.

I love how these turned out! They were really easy to do too! Thanks for stopping by! I would love a comment before you go!
